All terrain tires are meant for people who drive on pavement, but commonly go off-road as well. If you do a lot of winter driving over icy and snow covered roads, you should consider putting on snow tires for the season.
There are many manufacturers of tires that make styles for SUV owners. Firestone, BF Goodrich, Toyo, Yokohoma, Pirelli, Michellin and so many more reputable tire makers have a plethora of options available. You can spend a wide range of money when looking to buy tires for your SUV.
General tire manufacturer is known for making less expensive tires, but has a model that is gaining popularity for it’s quality construction and fair pricing. The General Grabber is approximately $100 per tire, depending upon size, yet has great reviews.
On the other1000end of the cost spectrum, you’ll find makers like Pirelli and Toyo. Though they each have medium priced tires, they have some models that are rather expensive. If you are looking for a high end tire, you should keep in mind that some of these are made more for performance, than durability.
You could possibly buy a $200 dollar tire that handles well, yet has a 20k mile tire life. There are however high end quality, long lasting tires available from all the companies mentioned in this article. The best one for you, will depend on your particular driving style and region.
